Demountable Wall Terms and Conditions Requirements A1. All demountable wall components/materials/installation shall be covered under the demountable wall’s standard warranty. A2. The successful demountable manufacturer should have the ability to provide a performance bond to insure project completion. A3. Demountable wall components and parts, with the exception of third party supplied product (such as wall coverings, glass, and door hardware) are guaranteed to be compatible and available for purchase for ten years from the date of the original order. B. Demountable Wall Environmental Characteristics Requirements B1. The demountable wall system shall have at least a Level 2 certification as recognized by BIFMA. B2. The demountable wall system shall have a SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold Certification or equivalent. This approval guarantees conformance to indoor air concentrations meeting ANSI/BIFMA M7.1-2011, California Specification 01350, and ANSI/BIFMA e3-2012 testing, conducted in an independent third-party air quality testing laboratory. B3. Total of a solid panel with steel painted faces/shells should meet a minimum Pre-consumer Recycled Content of 25%. B4. Total of a solid panel with steel painted faces/shells should meet a minimum Postconsumer Recycled Content of 46%. C. Demountable Wall Product Requirements C1. The base assembly with an integrated leveling system shall be permanently attached to the panel. C2. Panels are stackable (top or bottom) to accommodate ceiling height changes and panel type changes (i.e., solid/glass or glass/solid configurations). C3. Factory installed panel shells or faces shall be removable and interchangeable in the field without dismantling as complete units. C4. Solid panels shall provide an overall sound transmission class of not less than 48 STC rating in accordance with ASTM E-90, ASTM E412 (Flush ceiling channel, non-furniture slotted) D2. Demountable wall manufacturer must be approved for use in cleanrooms. According to CSI Testing, the selected manufacturer met or exceeded the 10,000 clean area class conditions in accordance with Federal Standard 209E and ISO 14644 Part I: Institute of Environmental Sciences RP-006.2 and/or the National Environmental Balancing Bureau Procedural Standards for Cleanrooms. D4. The demountable wall system, installed in accordance with the ICC-ES Evaluation Report and manufacturer’s published instructions, shall resist the 5 psf transverse design load specified in 2012 IBC Section 1607.14 and 2009 and 2006 IBC Section 1607.13.
