We have had obstacles, barriers and Satan to face BUT thru it ALL, God has carried us through and kept us victorious. The scripture Psalms 46:10 always comes to mind, "Be still and know that I am God." So many times we try to do it ourselves and leave God out. But when we humble ourselves and pray with faith believing, we have a better out come and stronger community. Campbellsville Emmaus Community, I know sometimes everyone does not understand change but it is sometimes for the best. So I ask that we all pull together and for everything we achieve we give God the Glory! It is not about us but all about the Glory of God and His Kingdom. Please pray for the upcoming Emmaus Walks and Chrysalis Flights; the Lay Directors, the teams-need your prayers as they begin their journey. Today in the world we live always - Keep each other in prayer, Our Nation, Our leaders and Our Emmaus Community. We all need prayer. John 3:30 "He must increase; I must decrease." God Bless, Eddie Bailey, Campbellsville Emmaus Community Lay Director __________________________________________________________________________________________ Message from Assistant Community Lay Director… Community, As some of you have heard, Camp Acton is set for some remodel. As we understand, two of the current buildings at Acton will be razed shortly after the Women’s Walk #88. The project could start on Monday, after the walk concludes on Sunday afternoon. The following buildings are scheduled to be razed: The Campbellsville Emmaus board has decided to follow our convictions with a Chrysalis, so the Boy’s and Girl’s Chrysalis will be at Tim Horton Camp, this fall. Boy’s and Girl’s walks will be held at the same time, but separate, except during meals. Much prayer, meeting, and discussion has been labored. Community, we need your prayer and support to extend God’s love to the Boy’s and Girl’s Chrysalis. More information will be delivered at the Gatherings, please attend! Agape Love, Stephen Morris, Campbellsville Emmaus Assistant Community Lay Director __________________________________________________________________________________________ Message from Community Spiritual Director Greetings from your Assistant Community Spiritual Director: I hope and pray that this news letter finds you blessed and highly favored! I pray that you are walking in the direction and calling that the Lord Jesus has called you to! There is nothing more fulfilling in life than that. I would like to share something with you that the Lord has laid on my heart, as well as the hearts of others in our community. “And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.” Acts 1:13-14 Did you know that the first great revival did not ride on the wings of a great preacher? It didn’t come because the worship team was beyond amazing. It came because there were a few sold out people that were doing nothing more than praying. I want to tell you what GOOD things are going on in our community. I want you to know that you have an Emmaus board that is truly praying for you and this community. I’m not talking about just mentioning to each other that we need to pray, or making a prayer request without ever praying. Our prayer can’t just be a Facebook post of prayer, a text message that says, “I’m Praying for you”, or a prayer request made. I believe that true, heaven shaking prayer is almost extinct in today’s Christian mindset. A true prayer can change things! How many of you have “prayed through” lately? A prayer that genuinely shakes your inner being. Each morning and evening at 7, you have a team of board members that have been interceding on behalf of the Campbellsville Emmaus Community. We have been lifting up walks, lay directors, workers, pilgrims, sponsors, the board, gatherings, and anything else we can think of. I truly believe we are in a season of breakthrough in our community like never before, just because of prayer. I am now asking you to join us. Can you imagine what would happen if we got a whole community of people praying in one mind and one accord? I am asking that you choose a time, (either 7am or 7pm) daily to cry out to God on behalf of Campbellsville Emmaus. Pray for your Emmaus Board, Community Lay Director, Community Spiritual Director, clergy, laity, future pilgrims, and anything else you feel the Lord lay on your heart that we stand in need of. I believe in my God enough to know that if this community will pray, He will show up in a way greater than we have ever witnessed before! Bro. Billy Adams REMEMBER you can go to the website www.campbellsvilleemmaus.org and sign up to receive a newsletter each month, read prayer requests online, download Emmaus forms, and stay informed of gatherings and other events. We want everyone to stay informed, so if you know of someone who does not get a newsletter, tell them how they can sign themselves up on the newsletter page of the website.
