 The Back to School Backpack event at the Kroc Center went really well. Brenda P., Mike S., Kim K. &

 The Farmer’s Market SAC table went well & it was good PR for SAC & UNO. $200 worth of erasers

 Melanie will find out the final total of erasers sold and let everyone know.
 Suggestions for next year:
a) Use a photo from the previous year’s Kroc Center event on the table for context.
b) Make donations directly to your SAC representative and the SAC rep will bring them to the
meeting.
c) Sell (like this year) at basketball & hockey games, the Aksarben Farmer’s Market, the
Bookstore. We also received a donation from Faculty Senate. Melanie will write Faculty Senate
a thank you card.
Treasurer’s Report –
There is currently $3083.78 in the SAC account.
Elections Committee – Elections went well this year. There was one complaint from a staff member that was
out of town and was unable to vote. They feel that elections should run for more than 1 week.
Suggestions:
a) A week before the elections, put an ad in the Maverick Daily to let people know the elections dates.
b) We may need a little more communication to our constituents about elections.
Communications & Publications Committee – Anthony F. has created a SAC information sheet.
Activities Committee – The Ballroom in the MBSC is not available for the picnic the year. Activities
committee will stay after the meeting to discuss alternatives.
-Eraser sales may need another push; it ends the last week of April.
