WHAT IS BHS ABC?
Berthoud High School Athletics Booster Club
(BHS ABC) is a volunteer run organization that provides direct support to our Berthoud Spartan
Athletes.
WHY IS THE BOOSTER CLUB IMPORTANT?
Like all of the schools in the Thompson R2J school district, Berthoud High Schools athletics is a self-sufficient program. In other words the district does not provide funding for the athletic program except for small supplemental uniform funding.
HOW IS THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT FUNDED?

Athletic fees that student athletes pay to participate in sports throughout the year.
2.
Admission fees to all the sporting events.
3.
Individual coaches/sports have their own fundraising during the year.
4.
BHS ABC works hard to provide additional funding to all the athletic programs at BHS.
WHY SHOULD I JOIN?
The costs of providing high school athletics is ever increasing. Our athletes have a lot to focus on during their four short years at BHS. Our coaches spend countless hours outside of their full-time jobs coaching and mentoring our kids.
As booster club members, donors, and/or volunteers, we help keep student and coaches focused on what’s important. By using our collective resources and creativity, we can raise money effectively and efficiently.
HOW DOES BHS ABC RAISE MONEY?

BHS ABC operates the concession and apparel stands at all applicable high school events. We partner with parent and student volunteers from each sport and 50% of the profit goes directly to the sports that provided volunteers.


HOW MUCH DOES BOOSTERS REALLY PROVIDE
TO THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM?
For the 2014-2015 school year, the concessions alone provided approximately $8,600 in money directly to the programs that worked them.
The Boosters were ALSO able to grant various program requests for over $20,000.
That’s a total of almost $30,000 that directly benefitted BHS athletes!
HOW DO I JOIN?
It’s easy! Fill out the membership form on this page. Memberships run from July 1 st of this year to May 31 st of next year. Meetings are usually the 3rd Monday of every month starting at 6:00 pm at BHS Room 135. Even if you can’t attend our meetings, your membership dues will help fund our programs.
