Young Associate Programmer (Children and Young People) Are you a dynamic young person looking for a fantastic opportunity to use your creative and organisational skills? Following on from the success of the past two years Young Associate Programmers Jennifer Manderson and Hannah McBrien, Dance4 are looking to recruit a new Young Associate Programmer (Children and Young People). This opportunity will run from November 2014 – July 2015 and will support and develop Dance4’s children and young peoples programme across the East Midlands. The initial purpose of the Young Associate Programmer is to support the selection for the U.Dance county platforms and regional MY (Midlands Youth) Dance Festival that Dance4 are co-producing with Dancexchange, Birmingham. Further activities and opportunities will be developed over the year in collaboration with the person appointed, and fees identified where possible. Initial Fee: £1500 + travel expenses to events. This is a freelance position so the person will be responsible for his or her own tax and national insurance. What will be your role? Be part of the selection panel for the 5 U.Dance county events in the East Midlands Be part of the selection panel with Dancexchange Play a key role in programming and delivering the Fringe activities at MY Dance (you will have access to a small budget for this) Work on key children and young peoples projects across the region To act a representative of Dance4 To help with the administration of parts of the children and young peoples programme What will you get out of it?
