Summer Fete 19th June 6-8pm
Dear Parents/Carers
Our summer fete will be upon us shortly, therefore we are organising a Mufti day on
Friday 19th June. In return we ask that the children bring in an item for one of our
tombola stalls.
If the children could bring these in on the morning of the 19th and place them in the
collection boxes, we will arrange to collect them. We would be grateful if you could
donate the following;
Reception
Year 1
Year 2
Bottle of drink
Please bring in bottle of drink suitable for drinks tombola, such as,
wine, beer, spirits or soft drinks.
Year 3
Year 4
Confectionary
Please bring in a chocolate or sweets item suitable for confectionary
tombola
Year 5
Year 6
New children’s gifts
Please bring in a new toy, game, stationery or book suitable for toy
tombola
Please do not wrap these.
We have sent out some raffle tickets with this letter. We would appreciate it if you
could sell as many tickets as possible, tickets cost £1. Please write your name and
number on each ticket then return them in an envelope with the money. The raffle will
be drawn at the fete!
If anyone would like to donate a prize for the raffle, we would be very grateful and ask
that it be brought into school no later than 12th June.
We would appreciate any cake donations (either homemade or bought). Please bring
them in on the morning of the 19th.
Books!!! We are also having a book sale, so please bring in any unwanted books
(reasonable condition) that we can sell at the book stall.
And lastly we are holding a teddy stall this year. Each child has been given 2 tags.
Please find an unwanted teddy bear (reasonable condition), that your child does not
mind donating!! and write it’s name on both tags. Tie one tag round it’s neck and bring in
the teddy and extra tag into school by Friday 19th June. At the fete children can
pick a tag for £1 and match it up with a teddy, they get to keep the teddy!
The summer fete will be held at school on Friday 19th June from 6-8pm and will
include dancing from some of our pupils! barbecue, tombolas, book sale, raffle,
refreshments and games.
We will need volunteers to help on the stalls. Any support you can give would be
appreciated. Please see Helen Fletcher (Year 1 and Year 3 mum) if you would like to
help out. Thanks!
