PT REGIO AVIASI INDUSTRI and DASSAULT SYSTEMES Signed an MOU in Jakarta - INDONESIA.
In presence with H.E Madame the Ambassador of France in Indonesia and Dr Ilham HABIBIE, a local
aircraft maker PT Regio Aviasi Industri (RAI) has signed up with France-based software producer
Dassault Systemes to design and manufacture the firm’s regional turboprop R80 aircraft.
Dassault Systemes is the 3DEXPERIENCE Company and the leading global PLM solution provider. DS
possess over 25 years of experience supplying the Aerospace & Defence (A&D) Industry 3D
applications to support every step of the industry‟s technological and business evolution, from 2D
to 3D design and digital mock-up, to lifecycle management, and now the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform transforms the way “innovators will innovate with consumers” by
connecting designers, engineers, marketing managers and even consumers, in a new “social
enterprise‟. 3D Experiences are a catalyst for innovation, enabling enterprise stakeholders to
participate in the innovation process, enhancing value for the end consumer.
PT RAI is startup aerospace company in Indonesia, with core competence in aircraft design,
development and financing of civilian regional commuter aircraft. RAI is developing new aircraft
project R80, a regional turboprop aircraft with 80 passengers and scheduled to have its first flight
in 2016. RAI intends to develop and build the R80 with an eco-system of partners and suppliers in
Indonesia
The Parties have agreed to build up their strategic relationship by leveraging the strength and
knowledge of each Party to assist PT RAI to meet the following objectives:
a. Achieve its mission of delivering the first 80 Passenger Turboprop Indonesia built Aircraft in 2016
by working with a social eco-system of partners & suppliers.
b. Deploy Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform for collaborative R80 Aircraft program with
its social industry eco-system.
c. Adopt Industry best practices and methodologies for collaborative Aircraft development and to
create a sustainable aerospace Social Eco system in Indonesia for future aircraft programs.
