SPRING CLEANING
It’s
hard to believe that we have already
reached the first day of spring. With the
warmer weather on the way, it’s time to
think about spring cleanup. This is a
reminder that the town does have
ordinances that require all property to be
clean & free of junk vehicles, trash &
debris. All vehicles must be in operable
condition & have current license plates.
Letters will begin going out within the
next few weeks to those property owners
who are in violation. You are allowed 8
bags of household trash for regular trash
pick-up. Clinton County Disposal will pick
up additional items for an extra fee.
Please call 1-800-892-4804 to obtain more
information. Taking care of your property
will not only increase the value of your
property, but it will make your neighbors
happy too.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q Does the town pick up tree branches, leaves, & yard waste?
A Yes, the town picks up leaves through the fall months on Mondays. Tree branches
& yard waste are picked up year-round on Mondays (weather permitting). NOTE: If
you have a tree cut down, it is expected that all debris will be removed by the
person who cuts the tree down. For regular town pick-up of branches, they must
be 4” or smaller in diameter, piled at the edge of the street with ends facing the
same direction & short enough for 1 person to handle alone.
Q Are Pit-bull dogs allowed in the Town of Kirklin?
A No, The town has a Vicious Dog Ordinance that prohibits Pit-Bulls as well as
certain other breeds within the town. The full ordinance is available on the Town of
Kirklin’s website at kirklinindiana.org, and is also available from the Kirklin Town
Marshal or Clerk-Treasurer’s office.
Q When should I set my trash out for pick-up?
A All trash should be at the curbside no later than 7:30 a.m. each Thursday. The
exception is for weeks that contain the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas,
& New Years Day. Trash pick-up following these holidays will be delayed by one
day, with pick-up being on Friday. Please remove all trash receptacles from
curbside after collection - this will keep receptacles from blowing around in the
street.
Q How do I speak with the Kirklin Police Department?
A All calls are dispatched through Clinton County Central Dispatch at 765-654-5563.
