The 6th form was judged to be ‘outstanding’ for the 3rd consecutive Ofsted. 6th Form Study Supervisor Required for January 2016 Fixed term contract for 2 terms in the first instance 36 hours per week – term time plus 5 inset days + 1 week outside of term time Scale 4 – Salary range spinal point 18 - 21 (£17,714 - £19,742 pro rata) plus London Weighting (£1,812 pro rata) We are looking for an inspirational and motivated person to take up this position in our highly successful 6th Form. You will be responsible for working with the 6th Form Directors of Student Development and 6th Form Administrative Assistant in developing and supervising a purposeful study environment and culture for learning in the VI Form Study Centre and in supporting 6th Form students with their study and revision techniques. You will also be expected to work with groups of students and guide staff and parents in how to foster successful study skills, independent learning skills and information literacy essential for studies at KS5. You should be a team player with excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and optimistic in your approach to students and have an ability to motivate students aged 16-19. You should also have a well-developed understanding of the factors that support learning at KS5 in the classroom as well as independently and have experience of working with students in this age group. Excellent organisational skills and a flexible working attitude are both essential. Excellent communication, time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential for the role.
