and scroll down to chapter 4 and click on How do we know about layers deep within
earth. Then click on step 3 at the bottom of the page, and answer the following
questions.

3. Click on step 7 at the bottom of the page and watch the animation of the
waves traveling through the earth. What happens to the waves when they
move through the different layers of the earth?
