The Revolutionaries: Fakebook Page Project
Objective: Scholars will examine the life, accomplishments and impact of key people, ideas and inventions of
revolutionaries from the Enlightenment, Scientific Revolution, and Industrial Revolution.
Mission: Scholars will perform comprehensive research and investigation to create a “Fakebook” page for an
assigned revolutionary in history that gives a thorough description of their life, accomplishments, and impact.
Fakebook page must include the following:
1. BIO STATUS:
a. Basic Biography Information: Who, What, When, Where (life, education, family, etc)
Scholars tell about birth/death years, family, education, early life, etc
2. WHO AM I: This should be the most detailed section of your fake book page
a. Accomplishments/ Impact on History: scholars tell about ALL accomplishments of the
person, the impact of their person, and what revolution their person was a part of
influencing
b. Answer the Question: Why are they famous?
3. FRIEND REQUESTS: (5 Friends)
a. What other notable people would this person be “friends” with?
b. Did they work with anyone? Did anyone influence their life/career?
c. Who could they have been enemies with?
4. STATUS UPDATES: Think of at least 5 status updates that would relate to this person.
a. These could be major events in their life – Good and Bad.
5. LIKES AND DISLIKES: (5)
a. What other inventions or theories might your person have agreed with?
b. MUST BE REALISTIC TO THE TIME PERIOD! Find out what was happening during the
revolution they were a part of and reflect on how they would view the world around them.
6. PROFILE PICTURE:
a. Drawn picture of significant impact , person, or theory (innovation)
Fakebook page MUST be:
1. Neat, organized and labeled – show planning and organization of page
2. Colorful and appealing
