Mental Health Program Coordinator
Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center is a quality-focused, non-profit community health
center composed of over 250 employees dedicated to improving the physical, social and
emotional well-being of people in the communities we serve, regardless of income. In July 2011,
through a three-way partnership with the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Department of
Family Medicine and California Hospital Residency Program, EFPMC joined with both entities
to create the USC-Eisner Family Medicine Center at California Hospital.
Located in downtown Los Angeles, the USC-Eisner Family Medicine Center at California
Hospital offers high-quality medical care to patients of all ages. It is staffed by board-certified
USC faculty physicians working with family medicine physicians-in-training (residents) from the
USC Family Medicine Residency Program at California Hospital. Together with our nurses,
therapists and technicians, they specialize in providing comprehensive care with a personal touch
to all members of our community .
We currently have an opening for a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to work
as a Program Coordinator in our dynamic USC-Eisner Family Medicine Center at California
Hospital. This is an exciting new position and will require someone with great flexibility,
program development experience, and clinical expertise.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Shape and coordinate the provision of mental health services within the clinic
Work with residency’s psychologist to enhance understanding of mental health issues and
services by clinic residents
Assist in delivering perinatal services; sit on Perinatal Mood Disorders care team
Assist in delivery of services to SPD population (seniors and people with disabilities), sit
on multidisciplinary SPD team.
Provide psychotherapy as follows:
a. Provide individual and family psychotherapy.
b. Provide treatment according to any evidence-based practices that may be required,
ensures fidelity to the model.
c. Develop and evaluate treatment plans to ensure client’s progress on an ongoing
basis.
d. Work closely with case managers on linkage and advocacy to ensure that the client
and family have access to services that will help achieve treatment goals.
e. Maintain thorough treatment records in a timely manner according to the
requirements of client’s funding source.
f. Meet productivity expectations as set by department Director.
g. Be available to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of patients and the
department
h. Document treatment plans and progress notes in the clinic’s electronic
medical record
Become familiar with Integrated Behavioral Health program; recruit and supervise MSW
students to implement IBH services in the clinic
Provide input on clinic policies such as chronic pain guidelines
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current license in the State of California as a Licensed Clinical Social
Worker (LSCW)
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- Experience working with adults with mental health issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team member
- Experience with integrated behavioral health care desirable
- Experience or willingness to learn the electronic medical record (EMR).
