November 17, 2015

Irene opened the meeting at 6:35 pm with a prayer.
Old Business
1. October 27th meeting minutes were accepted.
2. Treasurer’s Report:
2.1. Trash bag bill was paid. Deposits received for trash bag sales and magazines sales. Receive 40% on
magazine sales and will continue to receive a percentage of on-line sales quarterly. Need to look into
having link to magazine website on St. Vincent School site. We receive $3.50 for each roll of trash bags
sold.
2.2. Adjustment request for 2015-2016 PTG Budget received from Mrs. Underwood was reviewed and
discussed. Amy made a motion to adopt the increase of $960 and Bob seconded; the motion carried.
3. Committee Reports
3.1. PTG Fundraisers
3.1.1. Big Splash – Papers went home on Monday. Form says they are good for one year, this is not
what the contract states. Mandy called office to correct for only 6 months and 2 weeks. Contract
was signed by office. December 1st is the cutoff for selling, checks are accepted, tickets should be
in for distribution before Christmas break.
3.1.2. Trash bag sales – Students of families selling 10 rolls or more where notified that the NUT day is
Thursday. The top 15 selling families’ pizza party will be coordinated by Darlene. Irene to provide
list of families and any of the top 15 families from 2014 sales that are not a part of the 2015 top 15
as no party was given last year. Can get card from Elizabeth to pay for pizza and other items for
party. Check with Elizabeth for when the gym is available or cafeteria can be used if gym not
available. Check if PTG has any paper plates, napkins, cups that can be used.
3.1.3. PTG Auction (April 2) Marilyn Meyer
3.1.3.1. Theme ideas: Indiana Bicentennial – invite Indiana State legislators. There could be an
art show with the auction. Need to get with Michelle Land on food ideas; solicitation list has
not been broken up yet; Irene sent email to office about solicitation letter, Marilyn will follow
up; Make sure teachers know there is money for projects. Discussion of difficulty in thinking
up ideas for class room projects.
3.2. Playground: Amy Lindley
3.2.1. Jeremy will put an edge to frame in the second area with a taper for safety reasons in the next
few weekends. There is a small amount of material leftover which can be used for repairs.
3.2.2. Amy prepared a thank you for the newspaper and WBIB spot which are available for free.

New Business
1. New Parent Night – Anne West will contact Mrs. Underwood about when it would be possible to have an
evening. Would invite all of the new families parents and some seasoned parents and some teachers. Have
information on what standard activities happen in the different grades. Serve light refreshments. Would like
to have as an annual event
2. Alumni Gala – Irene would like to see an Alumni Gala become an annual summer event. Kaylee said her
school holds an alumni event and suggested calling it a Green and Gold Gala. Invite alumni of the school,
teachers, and alumni’s parents. Bob said they used to have an alumni brunch after church, nothing fancy.
There are 3 current teachers who are alumni of St. Vincent (Mr. Stipp, Mrs. Norman, and Mrs. Knight).
Irene asked all to think about it; would need to find alumni lists to invite. Plan a nice dinner, with dancing,
and a bar, send invitations with purchase of tickets required for attendance.
Irene closed the meeting with a prayer.
