1) We understand the 40 page limit. Please clarify that at this point the only “form” excluded from that count is the Acknowledgement and Attestation Form. A design build RFQ/P has quite a few key team members with both the CM/GC and the Architect. You also have asked for alternates in key positions. This could quickly add up to 15-20 resumes. a. Resumes are included in the 40 page limit. 2) We have a question concerning the LEED consultant and energy model for the First Year Experience Housing Village proposal. Is the selected Design/Build team or UCCS responsible to hire the LEED consultant for the project? Is the selected Design/Build team or UCCS responsible to develop the energy model for the project? a. Design/Build team is responsible for hiring the LEED consultant and developing the energy model. 3) Are the cover letter, resumes, and surety letter included in the 40 page limit? Can we submit a project from our design partner as one of our 3 projects in the Project Background/Success of Design-Builder Team section? Are we restricted to 8 1/2 x 11 sized pages? Or would 40 - 11x17 pages be acceptable? a. 11 x 17 sheets are permitted. Section/tab/dividers are permitted. Resumes are included in the 40 page limit. 4) Is it permissible to include 11x17” sheets? Is it permissible to include section tabs/dividers? a. 11 x 17 sheets are permitted. Section/tab/dividers are permitted. 5) Please confirm that the design team and corresponding design fees should include all applicable consultants, including Structural, Civil, Landscape, Mechanical, Electrical, Interior Design, Food Service and Sustainability ? a. Shortlisted firms will be asked for fees proposals that should include fees from all applicable consultants. 6) For Fire Protection Design, can this be handled by a design-build subcontractor or will UCCS require a separate 3rd party to design the fire sprinkler system? If so, is this design to be included in the design fees or can it be carried as a part of the Fire Protection cost of work? a. The fire suppression system can be done on a design/build basis. Include in Fire Protection cost of work 7) Is the design team required to complete an independent Code Review with a code review consultant or will code reviews be handled by UCCS typical 3rd party code review process? a. UCCS will contract directly with a State code reviewer (independent third party) 8) Will the new dormitory rooms require both heating and cooling? a. Air conditioning is required in the kitchen, dining hall, academic programming space, housing programming space, housing offices, laundry facilities, mail room, and residential managers apartment. Approximately 100 of the 510 residential beds will need air conditioning. 9) I had a question about this RFP as to whether any sort of pre-planning or master planning had been done to determine the desired size and venues for the dining hall mentioned in the RFP? a. No pre-planning or master planning has been done for the dining hall.
