Theres some 4,000 years old Indian art

horses. Also Ancient Egyptian art show
then making sure there cattle and
dogs health was good.
The Romans had a name for people
that take care of animals, which is,
veterinarius. In about A.D. 500 a Roman
wrote a book on what vets do. A thousand
years later another book was called
Anatomy of the Horse by an Italian guy
named Carlo Ruini in 1598.
For about hundred year people that
worked on horses were called farriers.
these people did what normal vets would
do. They put iron shoes on the horses to
protect their feet. They had to learn only
by working directly with animals. They
did not go to college. Sometimes when
they worked on the horses it was
primitive, didn’t work and hurt the
animal.
Europe had the first school that
taught people about veterinary science.
That was these then three hundred years
ago. It has gotten bigger as time goes on.
Excellent vet schools have been
established in the United States In the
end of the nineteenth century.u

I want to be a veterinarian
because it is my dream to help animals.
Animals can’t help themselves so people
have to. A lot of animals get abused by
their owners and need care and lots of
love. Plus animals are so cute. Who
wouldn’t want to take care of them.
Animals can get sick and you
don’t even know it. They can’t tell you
when they need to go to the vet.
Sometimes you can tell if your pets are
sick but most of the time you can’t. That’s
why we have vets who study the ways of
animals.
I want to become the kind of vet
that you see for check ups and maybe
some day that does surgeries on animals. I
don’t know if I could handle doing
surgery on an animal but I would to save
it’s life. I’m also very good with people.
My mom has always told me that
to be a vet you have to put animals down.
She would say she didn’t think I could
handle it. I know it would be hard but if
the animal is suffering I would putting it
out of its misery. It would be very hard to
break it to the owner but that’s life.
It is going to take a lot of focus to
learn all the things I need to but in the
long run it will be worth it. To save an
animals life would be awesome. Plus vets
make a lot of money.
