Infrastructure Engineer
Job Description
This position of infrastructure engineer has the responsibility for technical architecture and support of
small to medium companies as our customers. Network infrastructure skills for this position include indepth knowledge of network architecture, virtual and physical server architecture, storage solutions,
Exchange architecture and network security and firewalling. The person in this position will work closely
with other members of our consulting staff to provide support and services to our customers.
Job Requirements






Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting network infrastructure and computer systems.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting enterprise virtual and non-virtual, load-balanced,
windows server environments.
Minimum of 5 years’ supporting network storage & endpoint architectures including clustering, high
availability & processing optimization.
Demonstrated capability supporting Windows environments, Exchange and SAN devices
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementing Active Directory and multiple levels of infrastructure
architecture security policies and controls including hardware, server, OS, and perimeter security.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing IT infrastructure Solutions as a lead engineer or
architect.

• Exchange Migration from 2003 forward
• Exchange Mail Flow Troubleshooting
• Exchange Server recovery
• Exchange Database recovery
• Exchange Site recovery
• Exchange Co-existence Deployment
• Firewall appliance security rules, NAT, access control
• SQL Server 2003/2008/2008R2/2012
Experience in implementing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Operation
Manager
Knowledge and experience with cloud provider technologies
Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a member of a team
Passion for technology services with customer centric approach


Responsibilities


Architect, supervise and participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms
supporting a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.
Produce architecture diagrams, installation guides, troubleshooting documentation and best
practice guidelines for our customers

Reviews, analyzes, consults and evaluates line of business infrastructure needs with our
customers

Works with desktop, network, and voice engineering resources as needed, ensuring that end-toend infrastructure design is completed

Partners with project manager to document implementation tasks for the project

Responsible for ensuring that the designed solution addresses all business and systems
(functional/non-functional) requirements

Provide consulting and on-site expertise, in supporting Microsoft Server, desktop, and voice/data
infrastructure and as network administrator as needed for our customers
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Local Twin Cities metro travel to current customer sites with less than 10% travel outside of the metro
area.
