Description
The following internship is designed to provide Marketing Interns with a hands-on experience in the office of New
Student Orientation & Enrollment for spring and summer 2016. This program will provide interns with the ability to
establish brand awareness for New Student Orientation & Enrollment Office, Camp Cowboy, and Welcome Week.
Responsibilities
 Contribute marketing and communication ideas, write copy for NSO office outreach materials, including,
publications, videos, website text
 Establish website strategy and implement initiatives. Organize video and photo shoots for orientation leaders
 Manage Transitional Programming (NSO, Camp Cowboy, and Welcome Week) social media channel, including
Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Twitter, and other web based media
 Create promotional videos for NSO, Camp Cowboy, and Welcome Week throughout the summer
 Photograph Orientation sessions, including but not limited to, Orientation Leaders, Families, Future Cowboys,
 Create end of the summer slideshow
 Create and design emails to incoming students using Campaign Monitor
 Establish brand awareness of Orientation & Enrollment, Camp Cowboy, and Welcome Week
 Perform other administrative duties pertaining to all marketing programs
 Manage the NSO website
Skill Requirements
 Thorough knowledge and understanding of Drupal web management
 Interest and knowledge in Marketing
 Excellent communication skills
 Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
 Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Required Qualifications
 Writing skills and the ability to craft a personable, professional tone for all public-facing communications
 Knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Drupal
 Familiarity and comfort with professional use of Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and other web based media
 Basic HTML knowledge
Education
 You must have taken at least 6 hours in a Marketing related course and be currently enrolled at Oklahoma State
University
 Major or focus on Marketing based professions
Compensation and Benefits
 Payment is $9.00 an hour
 Interactions with Marketing Professionals in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and OSU Communications
 Experience with project management
