It is a study to the principles of translation in general translation from Arabic – English and vice versa in particular. There will be exploration to difficulties and problems of translation for second language speakers. Rapid translation is required in our society. Students will be introduced to examples of translated texts from the two languages. Course objectives: 1) To help students realize the significance of translation. 2) To help students acquire the skills of professional translating. 3) To enable students' capability to translate short and long texts. 4) To acquaint students with the enough knowledge to use academic .scholarly tools for translating Arabic and English texts. Course Outcome: Knowledge Students acquire the skills of rapid communicative translation. In addition literary translation is more prestigious. Cognitive Skills Students appreciate translation and acquire types of translation. Interpersonal skills and responsibilities (Software Programs, Internet, Group participation, leadership, personal responsibility, ethic and moral behaviour, capacity for self directed learning) Analysis and Communicative Skills Translation activities are considered in rapid and argent translation of two languages.
