Fall Preview Events for Popular Colleges 2015-16 Baylor University: Invitation to Excellence: November 22-21, January 22-23 Invitation to Excellence is a special weekend program that showcases a few of the exciting academic opportunities Baylor has to offer. Participants receive a $2,000 scholarship and are eligible to apply for a full tuition Faculty Scholarship. Prospective students who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply to attend the event. Invitation to Excellence is specifically designed for high-achieving high school seniors who have scored 1300 or above on the SAT (math & critical reading) or a 30 or above on the ACT. Texas A&M: Game Day Application Workshops: October 3rd and November 7th Game Day Application Workshops provide high school seniors the opportunity to review the admissions process as well as gain helpful hints to complete a competitive application. Additionally, participants will tour campus, view the residence halls and learn more about the history and traditions that make our university so unique. For more information and to register online: http://admissions.tamu.edu/fid/ High School Leadership Conference (JR, SR) – Spring 2016 This program enhances the development of high school leaders and motivates students to realize the value of effective leadership and to incorporate these skills into their future endeavors. Students discuss issues concerning communication, diversity and risk management through team-building exercises, roundtable discussions and leadership speeches. The conference includes information on delegation, communication, diversity, risk management, teamwork, and personality profiles. (Seniors Experiencing Aggie Life) 2015 will take place November 13th - November 15th The S.E.A.L. Conference is a three day program in the fall semester where high school seniors get a first-hand look of what Texas A&M University is all about. Participants will get the opportunity to take part in discussion groups with members of the Aggie Recruitment Committee, as well as connect with other high school seniors from across the nation. In addition to discussion groups, participants will also get the chance to be a part of a mixer and spend a couple of nights in the residence halls with current students. The S.E.A.L. Conference is limited to 120 high school seniors. The participants will attend Midnight Yell Practice, a tailgate event hosted by The Aggie Recruitment Committee, and watch a Texas A&M football game. Students must attend the ENTIRE conference. As a S.E.A.L. participant, you will participate in (among other things) yell practice, Fightin' Texas Aggie football game, tour of A&M campus and renowned facilities, residence life, discussion group time with current students, sitting in on an A&M Class and a mixer.
