CIH South East News Contents Delegates listen to a presentation at the “Wake Up to Employment” networking event, April 2014 Networking: Wake up to employment We have successfully launched a new series of networking events aimed at members and potential new members across the region. Raven Housing Trust hosted the first breakfast seminar: ‘Wake up to employment’ which highlighted good practice in employment support initiatives. 25 delegates from across the region came together to share ideas, ask questions and debate the role of housing providers in employment support. We heard speakers from Amicus Horizon and Raven Housing Trust who explained how they are supporting residents into employment. There was lively discussion about increasing employment opportunities for young people and the delivery of effective apprenticeship schemes. Board Appointments After many years of service to the South East Board we are sorry to say goodbye to Alistair Queen, Tim Hammond, Bob Keats and Peter Brooks. We thank them for their valued service to the board and wish them success for the future. In light of this there have been a number of new appointments to the board and we are pleased to welcome Robert Wassall, Leslie Channon, Elly Hoult, Andy Staniford and Stacey Stephens.
