Mrs. Ransden Scrapbook Page Poster Details You will create a poster that looks like a scrapbook page for your book project. You should create the scrapbook page as if the main character in your book created it. Do your best to make your character seem as real as you can, taking into account the way he or she talks, the character’s age, where he or she lives, and the time period. The scrapbook page background should reflect the main setting of the story. You can color it or cover it with paper if you like. You can then glue or tape the other scrapbook elements over the main background. The poster should include the character’s name, the title of the book, the author’s name, the setting, and your name. Choose 3 - 5 pictures or photographs to help tell your character’s story. Mount these pictures on your scrapbook page. You can draw your pictures, cut them out of magazines, use real pictures, or print them from the Internet. Type or neatly print a caption for each picture. Some ideas are: The main character in a scene from the book The character’s family or friends The main character’s major accomplishment The setting of the story Draw or print 2 souvenirs that the main character would have put in a scrapbook. These objects should reflect events in the story or important aspects of your character. Write a 1-2 paragraph diary entry from the main character’s point of view. The entry should reflect how the character feels about an event in the story. Spelling, punctuation, and neatness all count! Be creative and have fun!
