This report is to be completed by all students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma of Counselling (16).
Students are required to submit this report to the Student Placement Department within four weeks of completing
their placement.
There is a four week assessment marking time fame for Student Placement Reports. If Student Placement Reports
meet the criteria listed below students will be sent an email or letter confirming the completion of their placement.

STUDENT PLACEMENT REPORT
In your report please answer the following questions within the word limits indicated:
1. Briefly describe your understanding of the placement organisation, including information on its
mission, aims, philosophy, and client groups. (approximately 200 words)
2. Specify the services that the organisation provides as well as the organisation’s funding sources.
(approximately 200 words).
3. Provide a short overview of what you did whilst on the placement with reference, where applicable to
your ‘Experience Log’ and ‘Student Learning & Supervision Contract’ (approximately 200 words).
4. Outline, analyse and reflect on how you have developed personally through this placement where
appropriate refer to your ‘Learning Contract’ and relevant literature to answer this question. Include
areas such as instances where you found it difficult to be assertive, when your personal values were
challenged, and/or when you learnt something new about yourself (approximately 450 words).
5. Discuss, evaluate and demonstrate awareness of how you have developed professionally through this
placement, making reference to your integration of theory and practice. Where appropriate refer to
your ‘Student Learning and Supervision Contract’ and ‘Experience Log’ to answer this question
(approximately 450 words).
6. Throughout the report you are expected to demonstrate aspects of self-evaluation and self-awareness
