Association Museums Director and Historian
The YMCA of the Rockies is seeking a Museum Director and Association Historian to provide
inspired leadership and direction for the Y’s museums and historic sites. The director is
responsible for the preservation and interpretation of the unique history of the YMCA of the
Rockies. Serving the Estes Park Center, Snow Mountain Ranch, and Camp Chief Ouray, this
position maintains relations with financial and artifact donors, creates and maintains exhibit
space specific to each center, and upholds the long-standing Mission of the YMCA of the
Rockies through the programs and environment of the historical sites within our
Association. The director will be part of the leadership team for plans that involve the museum
and historical exhibits.
The individual will have strong, demonstrated communication, planning, and coordinating skills;
leadership and management skills within a team environment; and considerable knowledge of
best practices in museums.
