Guidelines for the Summer Internship Program Competition
Objectives:
A platform for the students to test their prowess in:
1. To encourage students to conduct innovative, high-quality summer internship
projects.
2. To create an environment of interaction between academia and industry for
mutual benefit and provide suitable placement opportunities for MBA students
3. Give them a broad exposure to the organization (remember: this is a chance for
them to personally develop and explore career possibilities)
Eligibility:
1. The project must be completed in summer 2014.
2. The project must be completed by a single student. Group projects are not eligible.
3. The student must be enrolled in an MBA (or equivalent) programme.
Criteria:
1. Individual students are eligible to participate.
2. The presentation shall be 10 minutes and 5 minutes for Q and A.
3. The participation fee for the activity is Rs.200/- per student.

Self Nomination:
Individual students are eligible to participate directly in the competition. Please
include the following documents:
1. A Registration form with complete details
2. A letter from the company, certifying that the project was completed by the
concerned student.
3. The project report should be prepared as per the guidelines given in the
Appendix and should be sent as an e-mail attachment to
divya.sharma@mit.asia by 15th February 2015.

Evaluation Process:
1. First, the projects will be evaluated by a Faculty committee, which will then
make a recommendation of 10 finalist selected projects for the final
competition.
2. Projects will be evaluated using a double-blind review process. (Reviewers and
contestants will not know each other’s identity. This is done to ensure
objectivity and fairness in the evaluation process.)
3. The finalists will be required to make presentations at the MIT- College,
Aurangabad on February 20th, 2015.
Awards and Recognition:
1. All contestants will receive a participation certificate.
2. The top two winners will be given cash prizes of Rs. 2,000/- and 1,000/- along
with trophies respectively.

APPENDIX
Guidelines for Preparing Project Report
1. It is strongly recommended to structure your report using the following:
Page 1: Project Title, Company Name, address, contact person’s name, phone, e-mail;
Your name, address, phone, and e-mail; Your college name, address, contact person,
his/her phone, fax, e-mail.
Page 2: Project Title, Company Name
Page 3: Table of Contents
Page 4-5: Executive Summary
The rest of the project should ideally have the following sections: (it is not necessary to
include all of the below.)
Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations,
Appendices, Bibliography, Glossary

If you are using any tables, graphs, figures, text or any other materials from
other sources, make sure to provide full citations of the source.
All tables and graphs, figures must be numbered and should be referred to as
such in the main body of the text.
The text should be prepared with 1.5 line spacing and 12-point Bookman old
style Font with a margin of one-inch on all four sides.
Submissions that are in poor form will be automatically rejected. Some
examples of poor form are: too small or large margins, too small or large font
size, different font type, spelling errors, bad grammar, etc
There is a limit of maximum thirty pages. This limit is inclusive of tables,
graphs, appendixes, if any.
