5. Development Goals
The IEP must contain seven development goals the student wishes to achieve while in the programme. One goal must be a literacy goal and one goal must be a numeracy goal from the
appropriate level of the New Zealand Curriculum or Te Marautanga o Aotearoa. Of the five remaining goals, two goals must be from an area of the New Zealand Curriculum or Te
Marautanga o Aotearoa and three goals must be from the key competencies of the New Zealand Curriculum or the graduate profile of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
