The benefits of local and national ONS membership were reviewed.
The structure for future chapter meetings was reviewed. The first 15-20
minutes will be used to discuss local business. A rolling calendar
(September through August) is used. The strategic plan for the Richmond
chapter will feed into the national ONS mandated goals…”2009 and
Beyond” focusing on:
Advocacy
Knowledge
Partnership.

 HCA received a grant from OND for an ONS Review Course October 21 & 22,
2009 from 7:30 am – 5:00 PM at Parham Doctors’ Hospital MOB III, Suite
312.
 Mentors for RNs studying for the ONS certification are in demand. (See
Wendy).

 Camp Phoenix Day Camp to be held September 19, 2009. (see DeeJay)

 ONS Certification Review Course October 21-22, 2009.
The Houston, TX ONS chapter has issued a challenge to all other local ONS
chapters to participate 100% in donations to the ONS Foundation.
