Instructions
Mandatory Columns for detection file:
unqdetecid
•
a unique identifier for each detection record ######datecollected
•
must be in format YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS
•
all digits of time must be present even if all zero
catalognumber
•
can really be any format
•
this will be used to group together detections for a specific instrument or animal
•
can be a transmitter or an animal id
station
•
mandatory valid content

The interval data tool generates a compressed detection file and an interval data file using
both the detection extract and distance matrix file. 1. If not already started, start the OTN
Sandbox instance and wait till the system has been fully booted. 2. Open URL
192.168.56.101:8787 Username: sandbox password otn123 3. Login to RStudio open up
the interval_data_driver.r file. The file is located in the sandbox folder.
4. Change
the values of detection_file and distance_matrix to be the names of the detection file and
distance matrix file that you want to process interval detection from.
5. Select
the all of the lines of code and click the run button. The code will return the file location and
count of each of the files that were generated. The output will look similar to the following:
