Training and/or work experience that demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully accomplish the work outlined below. At least two years experience supervising staff. SKILL REQUIREMENTS Sound working knowledge of accounting software and pledge software experiences required. Superior customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Supervisory experience required. Excellent electronic spreadsheet and word processing skills in a Windows/Microsoft environment. Must be able to accomplish accurate, detailed tasks in short time frames with minimal supervision. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE Under the supervision of the Controller, the Director of Campaign Processing will be responsible for helping ensure that the financial operations and pledge processing of United Way for Greater Austin are conducted in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop mastery of software packages to effectively process accounting and campaign duties Oversee campaign pledge processing using Andar database Manage the annual campaign audit process for CFC and United Way campaigns Ensure accurate and timely distribution of funds to agencies Oversee donor communications, including tax letters Preparation of schedules for the Combined Federal Campaign as outlined in the Office of Personnel Management guidelines for annual Agreed Upon Procedures review. Oversee the development and mapping of processes and create process efficiencies when possible. Serve as the primary liaison to Resource Development and other departments as necessary for campaign processing related issues Development and mapping of processes to create process efficiencies when possible. Oversee and direct acknowledgement and campaign reporting to federations and agencies Hire, train, and supervise staff accountants, finance associates, and data entry staff as it relates to campaign/Andar processing Work with Controller to convert Andar related revenue information into Sage accounting financial format Assist in the preparation of month-end closing and financial statements Assist in preparation and completion of annual audit. Implement and monitor UWW Standards, Federal, and State standards of Financial Oversight; UWW Requirements, Patriot Act, PCI Compliance, etc. Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Controller or VP of Finance and Planning. Assist other staff members as needed. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS This position has a high level of interaction with all organization departments. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with donors, vendors, agencies, federations and staff from other departments are required. Must be able to deliver and retrieve daily work to/from various departments within the building, during various times of day (20 pounds maximum). May be required periodically to travel locally to attend meetings and training, or to run errands outside of the office.
