vertebrate group you are assigned. You will be doing the following steps:
1. Working with a partner
2. Thoroughly researching your group of vertebrate
3. Creating a PowerPoint presentation to teach the class about your vertebrate
You will be graded on this entire project; starting from research to your presentation. This assignment is
worth 14 points.
This is what you need to research:
1. Diversity within your group of vertebrate (ex: how many different species are there? Give a examples)
2. Body – explain body features of the different species within your vertebrate group (ex. Amphibians :
most skin, four legs…)
3. Habitat – where can your vertebrate live
4. Traits and adaptations: What special traits and adaptation does your vertebrate have that makes it
unique?
5. Reproduction – how does your animal reproduce? Are there special conditions it needs to reproduce?
6. Function/Purpose – all animals serve a purpose in this world – what purpose does your animal have?
7. Food – Is your animal a herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore? Give examples of its meals. Where does it
fall in the food chain.
PowerPoint Presentation will need to include:
1. Title Slide
2. Diversity Slides
3. Body Slides
4. Habitat slide
5. Traits and adaptations slides
6. Reproduction slides
7. Function/Purpose Slide
8. Food Slide
