Re: Council Requests

The following requests/questions were submitted to the administration during the Tuesday, November 4, 2014 Birmingham City Council meeting. Please ensure accuracy and not accidental omission.

Councilor Lashunda Scales

Echo Highlands Resident Patricia Dailey respectfully requests a resolution to a question about an 18 wheeler cab that continues to park near the entrance of the neighborhood (near Jet Pep and Shell gas stations)

On Martinwood Lane brush needs to be removed

Please update us on the status of implementation date of flower beds in District 1. Neighborhood officers are being contacted regarding the matter, please direct all correspondence of this matter with my office.

Alley on Dowell Court needs to be cleaned.

The corner lots at 14 th Street Ensley and 15 th Street Ensley needs to be cut and cleaned.

Council President Pro Tempore Jay Roberson

To the Traffic and Engineering please install at left turn signal in the traffic light on the intersection of

Sydney Drive and Lakeshore Parkway.

Also to Traffic and Engineering residents are requesting a traffic light at the intersection of Rutledge

Drive and Wilson Road.

To the Planning and Engineering Department at this same intersection of Rutledge Drive and Wilson

Road the road needs to be aligned with a left turn lane.

Councilor Sheila Tyson

There is an abandoned house at 817 7 th Avenue SW that needs to be boarded up or demolished. The surrounding lot also needs to be cut.

There is an abandoned house at 509 4 th Street SW that is attracting criminal activity. Please board up or demolish the house. The surrounding lot also needs to be cut.

There is a ditch behind 2029 Northland Avenue that is on city property. The ditch needs to be cut and there is a lot of trash that gathers there after it rains that needs to be cleaned up as well.
