Dear Parents/Carers, N Happy New Year - I hope you have had an enjoyable Christmas break and managed to get some time to rest! The children have arrived back to school ready for 2016 and have been working really hard in their lessons this week. The staff and senior leaders have been looking at the progress the children have made last term and we are pleased with how we are continuing to move the children’s learning towards meeting age related expectations. A big thank you to you at home as well, as your support with reading, spelling, writing, maths and other homework is invaluable. If you would like to know what to do to help your child further, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher who will be more the happy to offer advice or suggest resources. We have had an assembly this week learning about what respect means and how we be can be respectful to each other, and have also talked about the importance of attendance and punctuality, which as you can see was been below national expectations the week before Christmas.
