Aims This course is designed for non-native speakers of English and aims to raise awareness of the linguistic features of expository texts to enable students to read expository and persuasive texts to raise awareness of how writers position themselves towards their audience to raise awareness of the linguistic features of persuasive texts to further develop awareness of the strategies writers can use to position themselves towards their audience to develop the ability to think critically about sources and presentation of information 16.
