SQA Results
This year we had a strong SQA performance and the results were very encouraging,
in particular of Higher grade. QMA performed well above the South Ayrshire Council
average in all measures which is an outstanding performance.
Uniform
The school received delivery of 125 blazers during the summer for start of term. A
further order has been made with spares in each size. School to actively involve staff
and pupils in the promotion of full school uniform especially school blazers.
Lockers
It is hoped that every child who wishes a locker will get one this year, particularly for
outdoor jackets through the winter enabling pupils to continue to wear their blazers
with an outdoor jacket on top. The school is trying to facilitate this and have asked for
financial assistance from the council.
Refurbishment
Despite continual contact with Assets and Planning department there have been
unexpected delays with the Technical Department refurbishment. Work commenced
during the summer holidays but the classrooms will not be ready for use until
December.
All weather pitch sub-committee continue close contact with Sports Scotland and will
continue to raise awareness with authority of its advantages for school and community
use.
