Agricultural Equipment Mechanic, Multiple Locations (Job 995) Are you an Agricultural Equipment Mechanic looking for your next opportunity? The purpose of this position is to independently perform diagnostics and service repairs and maintenance work on internal or external customer owned agricultural, turf or construction worksite equipment. Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Shifts: Normal hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Lethbridge, Alberta Burdett, Alberta Taber, Alberta Medicine Hat, Alberta Number of Vacancies: Multiple Experience: 2-3 years of work experience at a journeyman level, doing diagnostics and overhauls of transmission, engine, hydraulic, electrical systems. Education: Completion of Apprenticeship or an equivalent Certificate of Completion with AET (Agricultural Equipment Technician) Duties and Responsibilities: Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, AMS, Turf, and CWP equipment. Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required. Assembles and performs pre-delivery inspections of new equipment as required. Mentors apprentice technicians. Maintains current knowledge of John Deere products and competitive products. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.. Inspects and tests repaired equipment prior to releasing. Advises Service Manager of any customer concerns. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Conducts or supports customer clinics. Ensures all departmental tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order. Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties. Carries service phone to be on call when needed and to go on service calls as required. Works overtime and weekends as needed or per schedule. Participates in Service Training programs as scheduled for the development of skills and knowledge.
