Dear Parents,
Year 5 Sport and Recreation Camp
The camp is fast approaching and we cannot wait until we go! However, there are a few details we
need to clarify.
Teachers Attending:
The following teachers will be attending the camp – Mrs Day, Mrs
Hensen and Mr Mifsud. Mrs McKeon will be attending some parts of the
camp ensuring we are exceeding the adult/student ratio required at all
times.
Departure Time:
The bus will be departing on Monday, 20th October at 7.15am. All
children need to be at school by no later than 7.00am. We will meet
in the Parish Hall.
Dress:
Comfortable travelling clothes and enclosed shoes.
Return Time:
We are scheduled to depart Berry at 1.30pm on Wednesday, 22nd
October. We should arrive back at school around 4.00pm
Medication:
Medication should be in its original packaging and clearly labelled with
the student’s name, correct dosage and frequency. Place medication in a
snap lock bag or container that has your child’s name clearly written on
it. Students with asthma are required to provide an asthma
management plan to the Centre. Those that require asthma inhalers
should carry them at all times during the camp.
If your child is bringing medication to camp, please meet Mrs Hensen
and Mrs Day at 6.45am on the morning of departure so the medication
can be collected and stored safely.
If your child suffers from travel sickness please ensure that you notify
one of the teachers so we can ensure they are placed closer to the front
of the coach. This will also assist in giving us notice for any sick bags.
Activities:
The children will be participating in the giant swing, kayaking, cable
glide, dark maze, climbing wall and archery. Please note that activities
are subject to change.
Communication:
We will keep you up to date with Facebook posts over the three days of
the Camp.
