The progress of the pedagogical sequence:
The trainer welcomes trainees in a class room in order to first explain them what he is expected to
realize. He has to form small groups within 2 or 3 trainees. He explains them what a working team is
and the sense of solidarity and communication. If each group wants to succeed in the work he has to
respect that and to responsible for his choice as a team.
Each group receives a map with the environment to discover. It has to be near the school in order to
be done on foot.
The trainer explains trainees the 3 parts of the course:
- 1st step of the race
- 2nd step of the race

3rd step: mathematical course: Calculating the group’s speed (another course)
Every group receives the following board précising targets, questions to be answered (without the
answers).

1st step: star’s path
Each group has to go to a target and the corresponding question, to observe the environment and to
come back with the answer. To realize it the group has to read the map, to reach an agreement about
the way to go, to find the answer and to come back together. Each wrong answer needs to be started
again.
Each group begins each 10 minutes.
2ND step: 4 targets – path
Each group has to go to each four targets in the given order, to observe the environment and to come
back with the four answers. To realize it the group has to read the map, to reach an agreement about
the way to go, to find the answers and to come back together. Each wrong answer needs to be
started again.


Each team has to fulfill the following board précising each time departure and each arrival
time.
Each team has to draw on the map the path he did realized.
