About PSU
Prince Sultan University is the first private university in Saudi Arabia, which emphasizes
excellence in teaching, research and community services. PSU offers a Preparatory Year
Program in which students develop their English, Math, Computer and PE skills to the
standards required for study in English-medium undergraduate courses in Computer and
Information System; Software Engineering, Finance, Marketing & Accounting. PSU is
also now offering Engineering Programs. The Engineering Programs are: Engineering
Management, Telecommunication & Communication Engineering (Men College) and
Architecture and Interior Design Engineering (Women College). PSU also offers graduate
programs leading to Master in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Software
Engineering.

The College of Computer & Information Science, at Prince Sultan University invites
applicants for a full-time faculty position at the Professor, Associate or Assistant Professor
Level for its up-coming academic year 2015-2016 starting from August 2015.
Candidates should have a degree from a reputable institution; minimum of 4 years practical
teaching experience at tertiary level. Preference will be given to applicants who have
published papers in these disciplines. Extensive Research activities will be a plus-factor in the
hiring process.
The College of Computer and Information Sciences at PSU offers the following programs:

Bachelor Program in Computer Science:

3. Candidates with certification in above mentioned areas are preferred.
Digital Media Track in Computer Science
1. Successful candidate should hold a PhD or master degree in Computer Science and
Graphic Design. Certification in multimedia design courses are preferred.
2. The candidate should have a teaching experience in interactive Digital Media Design
with animation and motion, 3D computer graphics and modelling, Game development
etc.
3. Candidates having field experience in the above mentioned fields are preferred.
Bachelor Program in Information Systems :
The applicants should be specialized in Information Sciences.
E-Commerce Track in Information Systems
1. The candidate should have expertise in teaching E-Business, Application Development
and digital marketing courses.
2. Knowledge and skills of Entrepreneurship in E-Commerce, Ethical & Legal Aspects of
ecommerce.
3. Expertise in teaching Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Resource Planning using
SAP (Business Management Software)
4. The candidates should have a strong technical background in Java, XML and .Net,
Hardware, Operating Systems, Security, Networking, DNS and Open Source
technologies.
Bachelor and Master program in Software Engineering:
(The master program classes are scheduled in the evening)
Candidates are expected to have:
1. Successful candidate should hold a PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science,
Information Systems or related field.
2. A good background in object-oriented analysis, modeling, architecture, design, and
construction
3. Experience in collaborative and team-based software development projects, including
software development process improvement and agile and iterative software
development process
4. Knowledge of software project management, configuration management, and quality
assurance
5. Technical know-how in developing, integrating, web-based enterprise applications and
service oriented architecture (SOA)
6. Experience in supervising Master’s Thesis students.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The university is continuously expanding and its campus is situated in new premises in northcentral Riyadh. PSU offers the following:
[1] One-year renewable contract and a competitive salary package based on the applicant’s
academic qualifications and teaching/research experiences.
[2] Medical Insurance coverage for the employee and dependants residing within the Kingdom
(employee, spouse and 4 children below 24 years of age).
[3] Transportation allowance and air tickets for up to four persons to Riyadh on appointment and
upon final departure from Saudi Arabia to country of origin; round trip tickets for annual leave
with paid annual (summer) vacation of two (2) months plus (2) local paid holidays (no air tickets).
[4] Tuition fees for school-age dependent children for (4) authorized dependent children of
school-age (defined as four years through eighteen years) for education up to high school in
recognized schools within the Kingdom.
[5] Free undergraduate scholarship in Prince Sultan University for the 1st child, and 50% for the
other children as Per PSU rules and regulations of admission.
[6] End-of-service gratuity.
[7] Free, furnished accommodation plus essential utilities and maintenance will be provided upon
availability or the successful applicants may choose to take a housing allowance based on their
academic positions. The PSU furnished apartments are located within the Riyadh area, a fifteenminute drive from the University and with easy access to sports facilities and commercial malls.
