www.vijugroup.com Job Title: Senior Cisco Unified Communications Implementation Engineer Location: UNITED STATES Northeast/Mid-Atlantic (NJ/NYC) Reports to: VP- Chief Technologist Level of Experience: Senior Experienced Individual Contributor (Non Manager) Role Summary: To provide senior technical post sales project implementation, leadership, excellence and support in the area of Cisco unified communications and collaboration solutions to our customers and to work with cross functional team members at our company as an experienced, hands-on technical expert. This is a senior position that requires considerable technical knowledge and practical hands-on experience. Professional Experience: Excellence in planning, implementing, troubleshooting, migrating, training and documenting Unified Communications post sales projects required. Exposure to/experience with technical pre-sales is desirable Deliver customer projects successfully and on-schedule that result in high customer satisfaction and favorable Viju revenues and business success Possess and maintain expert, hands-on knowledge of all Cisco unified communications and collaboration products, technologies and solutions. Familiarity/experience with TelePresence & Business Video products and services highly desirable Maintain a working knowledge of non-Cisco products and services and of emerging trends in the unified communications and collaboration industry overall Develop and maintain business relationships and rapport with relevant levels of customer business and technical personnel Meet established post sales project implementation goals and managed business objectives Using a consultative and educational style, work with customers on how to best implement Cisco unified communications and collaborations products, technology and solutions Collaborate with the Viju engineering and support teams as a senior expert in UC solutions from an architecture, design and implementation standpoint Ability to travel and effectively balance self-directed activities within the domestic U.S. including customer sites, company offices and home office work environments Ability to work in a flexible schedule environment typical of the IT industry especially in support of customer outage windows on evenings, weekends, etc. when needed Perform other duties as assigned Professional Skills and Abilities: Excellent professional, interpersonal and relationship-building skills Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and consultative skills Strong demonstrated communication and coordination skills with customers and team members Strive for and demonstrate professional and technical excellence www.vijugroup.com Strong individual contributor and experience working in a team and working with other cross functional teams Experience working with enterprise customers Strong ability to be pro-active, multi-task, prioritize and manage time and work in a selfdirected manner Strong technical aptitude and drive to be a self-driven learner Ability to mentor and aid in the development of junior and mid-level technical personnel Ability to organize and lead technical teams is highly desirable Successfully lead technical projects and perform fundamental project management tasks Experience in preparing and delivering leader-led and 1:1 training classes is highly desirable Experience in preparing written documentation, technical documents, diagrams and reports Past employment and experience working in end-user, manufacturer and partner organizations desired Technical Skills and Abilities: Proven knowledge and experience in Unified Communications and collaboration concepts, products, technologies and solutions including voice/PBX/TDM/telephony/IPT/VoIP, messaging, the H.32X and SIP suite of standards, IP communications and protocols including TCP, UDP, RTP, SCCP, MGCP, as well as presence, instant messaging, directories, federation, etc. Deep hands-on experience with the following Cisco products is required: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection Messaging, Cisco Unified Presence Server, variety of digital and analog voice gateway products especially Cisco ISR routers, full complement of Cisco hard and soft IP phones/endpoints, Experience/exposure to the following Cisco products is a plus: Cisco Unified Video Conferencing, Cisco Media Experience Engine (35xx and 56xx), Cisco Show and Share, Cisco Quad, Cisco Pulse, Cisco DMS, Cisco DMP, Cisco Webex, Cisco Meetingplace, Cisco Unified Contact Center (Enterprise or Express), Cisco (and TANDBERG) CTS TelePresence Video Conferencing Solutions Experience with mobility and VPN devices and technology, applications and use cases Experience with Cisco firewalls, switching and routing technology and devices highly desirable Full understanding of the OSI model Experience using network and protocol analyzers and troubleshooting tools Hands-on design and implementation experience with emerging technologies, such as wireless, streaming and social media desired Experience working with Microsoft OCS/Lync Solutions highly desirable Highly computer literate Proficient as a user with Microsoft server and desktop operating systems and applications Proficient as a user with Microsoft Outlook, Office, Visio, OCS/Lync Administrator experience with Microsoft operating systems and applications including Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, SQL, etc. a plus Education/Certification: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent required.
