I need to deny myself and let God love others through me (Matt 16:24-26, John 15:12) I can choose to obey God (Rom 6:1-14, 8:1-2); I am responsible for my own choices (Deut 30:19; Josh 24:15) Claiming rights will put me in bondage (Jonah 4, Psalm 27:111); Yielding rights will set me free. (John 6:38; Heb 10:7) At best, physical beauty is temporal and fleeting (Prov 31:30); The beauty that matters most to God is that of my inner spirit and charater (1 Sam 16:7; 1 Tim 2:9) I will always have unfulfilled longings this side of heaven (Rom 8:23); The deepest longings of my heart cannot be filled by any created person or thing.
