March 25 2015 Dear Parent/Guardian, The West Club Lounge at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh will be the venue for the Jr/Sr Prom on May 1st. The Promenade will begin at 4:30 pm in the high school auditorium. Students should arrive no later than 4:00 pm to register and line up in the Cafeteria. Students may arrive as early as 3:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend the Promenade. Auditorium doors will open at 3:30 pm. Viglione Photography will have multiple photographers taking Prom pictures in the high school gym beginning at 3:30 pm. Couples may have their pictures taken before or directly after they are announced at the promenade. Picture forms will be available to students at the time of ticket sales. Pictures with Viglione Photography will not be available at Heinz Field. Students will leave the Promenade and travel directly to Heinz Field for a formal dinner and dancing. Heinz Field will open their doors at 6:00 pm and students must arrive before 6:30 pm. The prom will conclude at 11:00 pm. It is the recommendation of the class officers, sponsors and administration that students travel to and from the Prom in the safest mode of transportation possible. Traffic is always a concern in and around the Pittsburgh area on a Friday evening, so in response to this concern, FREE Coach Bus transportation will be provided to and from the Prom. Our PTO has made this option available. Buses will drop students off directly at the Press Entrance to Heinz Field and will bring them back to the High School parking lot afterward. We realize that students may choose to travel by limousine or private vehicle to the prom. Students who choose to drive to Prom should plan on paying for parking and walking a distance from the parking lot to the entrance. Reservations for one of the two coach busses should be made when purchasing Prom tickets. A $15 deposit is required to hold a spot on the bus this year. Once attendance is taken on the bus the evening of Prom, checks will be returned. The only reason a deposit check would be cashed is if a student reserves a seat and then doesn’t ride the bus to and from the Prom. Please send a separate check for this deposit so that it can be easily mailed back. Prom ticket sales begin on March 30th thru April 2nd during all lunches in the main lobby area. The cost will be $130 per couple. Please keep in mind that all class dues must be paid and all detentions must be completed before a ticket can be purchased. Our intention is to make this a safe and fun event for all students attending. Thank you, in advance, for your help in keeping our students safe the evening of Prom.
