Complex Sentences

5. The snow and sleet were coming down in buckets outside the window.

Out of Place Adjectives
9. I was distraught and searched the entire park for my lost wedding ring. (try it at the beginning)
10. The young and playful puppy nuzzled up against my hand. (try it in the middle)
11. The red-eyed and angry bull moose charged the intruder. (try it at the end)

Participles (making the verbs –ing, you can put them in different places in the sentence)
13. The kitten’s jaw cracked and tongue curled as she woke herself up.
14. I glanced at the bright digits that glowed on my clock.
15. The snakes no longer looked friendly. Add some participles (like hissing) to the beginning of the
sentence to create urgency.
