HUMAN ECOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibity Standards
The student receiving the scholarship shall:

Be a sophomore or junior at the time of application.
Be a declared major in the Human Ecology Department for at least one semester.
Be in good academic standing with a minimum accumulative 2.5 GPA.
Be active in at least one professional student organization within the Human
Ecology Department, preferably in a leadership role.
5. Have a minimum of two remaining semesters on the Oneonta Campus.
B.
Procedures for Application
1. Complete the department scholarship application.
2. Submit two faculty member recommendations, it is recommended that at least one be
from a member of the Human Ecology faculty.
3. Write a clear statement of professional goals and work experience.
4. All application materials are due in the Human Ecology Office by April 3, 2015.
C.
Selection Procedure for the Award
1. Students shall make application in writing and supply the information requested on
the forms provided. Such data shall be considered confidential.
2. The scholarship selection shall be made by the department Scholarship Committee.
3. Applicants will receive a letter from the Human Ecology Chair.
