Laboratory Update TO: Physicians, Nursing Staff, Laboratory Staff FROM: Dr. Pamela Robertson, Pathologist DATE: July 2011 SUBJECT: Coagulation Testing The Laboratory has added the following Coagulation Panels to their testing menu. The special coagulation panels will be sent to MACL (Mid America Clinical Laboratory) in Indianapolis. The panels include an interpretation by the laboratory. When indicated, reflex testing is automatically performed. Turn-Around-Time: 10-14 days Special Instructions: Medical history is required for an interpretative report. The CRH laboratory will fax a copy of the medical history form (Lab-96) to the nursing unit and/or ordering MD to complete ASAP. Specimen stability is limited and immediate processing of specimens is required. Specimens for any of these special panels must be collected at the Hospital.
