Urgent care access through primary care – alternative care destination to hospital emergency departments – This initiative comprises a tender process for large and well-equipped GP practices to deliver low cost, high availability urgent GP care. DTF notes that the level of funding is stated to be fixed and that the first two years of the initiative are costed in a separate costing request; and 2. Healesville hospital equipment – The initiative can be scaled to fit the proposed budget. DTF has undertaken a costing of this figure and considers $5.0 million to be a reasonable estimate for 2018-19 and notes that this would bring the total estimated cost of the proposal to $10.1 million over five years.
