PPE QUIZ
Each affected employee shall demonstrate an understanding of the training. The employer shall verify that
each affected employee has received and understood the required training.
29 CFR 1910.132(f)(2)-(4)
As the law says it’s your responsibility to ensure that your employees are ready to use PPE properly. And the
best way to measure employee comprehension is to administer a test following each training session.
The following quiz questions are merely representative of the types of questions you’ll want to devise, relative
to the material you covered in training. Note that some of the sample questions are general in nature, while
others are quire specific. Don’t be afraid to get down to brass tacks; a non-taxing quiz benefits not one.
Assuming the material was presented clearly - and that you took care to make the session as lively and
interesting as possible - then every topic covered should be open to inclusion on the wrap-up quiz.
Do take a moment at the start of each training session to let your employees know they’ll be tested on what
they learn.
