 Group investor, speaking to Med-2 class on
Friday. Giving us $500 => buys us a room at
the hotel for 2 nights + food to fill it with. We
should get $350 of food out of this sponsor.

Offer motion: IT fund had around $150,000. All the

brought up the class fund to 2,000 per
class (from 1,500 last year)
o Use rest of profits for initiatives,
medgames, conferences, etc.
Conference attendance? Why is there
an increase in this fund? This is one of
the most involved years we’ve had
(September meetings of CFMS, spring
general meeting in Vancouver).
Conference fees have changed.
o Class funding: MSS supports many
activities, especially the classes, but
we must consider federal and
provincial representation of McGill
o Who are we sending? Who needs to
go? MSS NEEDS to be present at these
meetings to represent McGill.
o What are our priorities?
o Have a committee to neutrally judge
whether or not to fund sending
students away.
o Trust fund/student fees => what is this?

o We should project expenses for next year up
until the next budget approval (this is what
happens at SSMU) – fair point. Alex will
arrange for this for now.
o What are the expectations for future MSS
councils? Will the involvement levels be as

why we have invested more in this for

Position against the
AFE Cuts to Med-3s
Joshua & AFE cuts to Med-3 (ministry changes to rules, losses
Nebras to Med3 students that did Med-Ps). FMEQ has taken a
position against this and Dean is writing a letter and
MSS is preparing one as well. We need to tae a
society-wide position. REFERENDUM – electronic.
o Do we even need a referendum? No…
o Nebras raised motion to not do referendum,

Annex Update

Council approves a hockey channel and a new video Jasmine => send
game council to be purchased for the annex using our message to ask for
IT budget (as opposed to the annex budget)

else, Jasmine wants maybe two students per year to
occasionally clean the annex, possibly bringing their
