Tomorrow-Today Exhibition of Innovation in Agriculture
Green Pavilion - 2014 Royal Welsh Show – 21-24 July
Information and eligibility criteria
Background
The need for new research, technology and innovation in agriculture and for the
dissemination of this information to the industry has never been greater. The Foresight Report
(2010) highlights the challenges to the global food production system that the first half of the
21st century will bring. The report identifies that these challenges cannot be addressed by
the continuation of existing approaches to increasing food production alone. There is also a
need to produce more whilst improving the sustainability of production techniques. These
new challenges must be met through the development of new technologies and their
application to agriculture.
Following the success of the first Tomorrow-Today Exhibition in 2013, the Royal Welsh
Agricultural Society and Farming Connect are searching for new applicants to showcase
their product or service in the high profile innovation in agriculture exhibition at the 2014
Royal Welsh Show. The Tomorrow-Today Exhibition aims to promote and encourage
innovation in UK agriculture and to facilitate the uptake of new technologies by transferring
latest research to grass roots level.
The exhibition has been developed in conjunction with partners, Farming Connect, and will
take place in the Green Pavilion and will include both the exhibition and a speaker
programme.
