Please join us at Chipotle for dinner:
Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser Tuesday, November 12th 5:00pm
- 9:00pm at the Crosswoods Chipotle. Bring in the Chipotle flyer sent home previously
and 50% of the proceeds will benefit the Worthingway Middle School PTA.
Books ‘n’ Bagels:
On Friday, November 15th, Worthingway's book club, Books'n'Bagels will be holding its
first meeting. We will be discussing Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins to prepare for the
movie. All students are welcome, and bagels and juice will be provided. The meeting
will start at 8 a.m. in Mrs. Baker's room.
Note from Mrs. Newcomb:
Thanks to all parents who came in for conferences this week. Mrs. Newcomb noticed
that many parents reported that their student is not doing much if any school work at
home. In Mrs. Newcomb's Spanish classes, students get written homework 3-4 times per
week. Additionally they should be spending time reviewing vocabulary for 8-10 minutes
most nights. Spanish and French are both high school level and high school credit
earning courses. Practice outside of class is expected and developing good habits now is
essential to future success.
Thanksgiving Meal Assistance available:
The Worthington Presbyterian Church will be providing Thanksgiving meals for families
in the Worthington community again this holiday season. Worthingway will be collecting
the names of families that would like to participate. Participating families will receive a
turkey, pie, and all the ingredients needed to prepare several side dishes.
If you are interested in receiving a meal this year, please click on the link below and
complete the request form by Friday,
November15th. https://docs.google.com/a/worthingway.org/forms/d/1jJgnYshvRzI2kB

Middle School and families will pick them up on Tuesday, November 26th. Mrs. Morgan
will call or email participating families by Monday, November 25th to confirm their
Tuesday pick up.
