Why do we need student names and your school’s postal address? If your team wins, the names of students
will be etched into the school team trophy, including yours. We need a postal address to mail your
complimentary USB flash drive(s), school trophy and (optionally) T-shirts.
Please provide a copy of this application to the principal of your high school.
If your high school registers after December 31, 2015, there is a late registration fee.

The 10th Annual Louisiana High School Technology Challenge takes place on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.



You may register your team for the 2016 event at any time during 2015, at no cost. So, team registration
is free during 2015, even if your team roster changes.
Late registration, postmarked between January 1, 2016 and January 20, 2016, requires mailing the
application form with a check for $100 made out to "Louisiana Technology Challenge, University of
Louisiana at Monroe". Any registration postmarked later than January 20, 2016 will NOT be accepted.
There is a limit of 75 registered high school teams. So, register your team early! If the limit of 75 teams is
reached, the main page of this website will indicate that team registration is CLOSED.
 Please refer to the online calendar regarding deadlines: http://ulm.edu/techchallenge/deadlines.html
 Please reserve a location, like a computer lab, for the Technology Challenge for the morning of Wednesday,
February 3, 2016. Suggestion: Please try to get school support to pay for a pizza party for your team
immediately after the competition. (The great majority of participating high school teams do this.)
Incomplete Team Roster
Yes, you can register a team without a finalized team roster. When your team roster is finalized, resend your
updated team application by email attachment.
Communication
Given the scope of this state-wide competition, we ask that only you, the Team Coach, communicate on behalf of
your high school team. Email communication is preferred; if you really need to communicate by phone, call
318.342.3142 (direct university office phone, with voice mail; please say your phone number twice if you leave a
message).
“I Didn’t Get An Email Reply From You!”: Blocked Email (A Possibility)
While unlikely, it is possible that you don’t get a confirmation email from us for team registration because of email
filtering. Aggressive email filtering/blocking in some school districts has caused problems in the past; a few high
schools were unable to receive email from us. If this occurs, you’ll need to contact your network administrator who
can easily “modify the network email filter” (using a “whitelist”) to allow email from the “domain” of “ulm.edu”.
