On the previous page, please edit the yellow highlighted sections. It’s OK to leave the highlighting.
Why do we need student names and your school’s postal address? If your team wins, the names of students
will be etched into the school team trophy, including yours. We need a postal address to mail your
complimentary USB flash drive(s), school trophy and (possibly) T-shirts.
Please provide a copy of this application to the principal of your high school.
If your high school registers after December 31, 2014, there is a late registration fee.
Please send this edited file as an email attachment to beutner@ulm.edu using the email account you intend
to use for future communications, with this subject: 2015 Technology Challenge Team Registration
The 9th Annual Louisiana High School Technology Challenge takes place on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.



You may register your team for the 2015 event at any time during 2014, at no cost. So, team registration
is free during 2014, even if your team roster changes.
Late registration (between January 1, 2015 and February 2, 2015) involves a late registration fee of $100.
Late registration after January 1, 2015 requires a postmarked letter (postmarked by Monday, February 2,
2015) that includes payment with a check for $100 made out to "Technology Challenge, University of
Louisiana at Monroe".
There is a limit of 75 registered high school teams. So, register your team early! If the limit of 75 teams is
reached, the main page of this website will indicate that team registration is CLOSED.
 Please refer to the online calendar regarding deadlines: http://ulm.edu/techchallenge/deadlines.html
 Please reserve a location, like a computer lab, for the Technology Challenge for the morning of Wednesday,
February 11, 2015. Suggestion: Please try to get school support to pay for a pizza party for your team
immediately after the competition. (The great majority of participating high schools do this.)
T-Shirts
We asked for T-shirt sizes in case we find a sponsor. At this time, we do not have support to purchase
T-shirts. (In the early years of this event, all students got T-shirts!)
Incomplete Team Roster
Yes, you can register a team without a finalized team roster. When your team roster is finalized, resend your
updated team application by email attachment.
Communication
Given the scope of this state-wide competition, we ask that only you, the Team Coach, communicate with us on
behalf of your high school team. Email communication is preferred; if you really need to communicate by phone,
call 318.342.3142 (direct university office phone, with voice mail; please say your phone number twice).
“I Didn’t Get An Email Reply From You!”: Blocked Email (A Possibility)
While unlikely, it is possible that you don’t get a confirmation email from us for team registration because of email
filtering. Aggressive email filtering/blocking in some school districts has caused problems in the past; a few high
schools were unable to receive email from us. If this occurs, you’ll need to contact your network administrator who
can easily “modify the network email filter” (using a “whitelist”) to allow email from the “domain” of “ulm.edu”.
